Our country's embassy and the Ministry of Health of Egypt, following the negotiations, reported that the second batch of hepatitis C medication allocated as humanitarian aid by the government of this country has been delivered to our country this year, according to "Dunya" News Agency.
Accordingly, the Egyptian side provided the second batch of "Sofosbuvir-400mg" medication against hepatitis C, consisting of 7440 units packaged in 28 boxes, with a total value of 114.829 US dollars, for the year 2025.
On June 7, the "Uzbekistan Airways" airline delivered the hepatitis C medication provided as humanitarian aid by the government of Egypt from Sharm el-Sheikh to Tashkent.
These medications will be distributed to patients in need by the Virology Research Institute under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
According to the embassy of Uzbekistan, between 2023 and 2024, the government of Egypt has provided 27 batches of "Daclatasvir" and "Sofosbuvir" medications for combating hepatitis C as humanitarian aid to our country, with a total weight of 12.4 tons.
