On June 10th, the historic victory of the Uzbekistan national team was duly celebrated at the “Bunyodkor” stadium. It was a day when the nation united once again.
The game against Qatar at Tashkent’s “Bunyodkor” stadium turned into not just a sports event, but a national festival. This match was one of the key turning points in the history of Uzbek football.
The stadium was packed – nearly 33,000 fans watched the national team’s battle live. The interest in the game was so high that there were worries not everyone could fit inside the stadium.
Although Qatar had high motivation from a tournament point of view, the “White Wolves” showed bravery for their fans. The skillful goal by Aziz Turgunboev became the turning point of the match – he tricked the opponent defenders and sent the ball into the top corner, opening the score.
This goal determined not only the fate of the game but also lifted the spirits of the fans. Despite intense situations, the team showed resilience, reminding everyone of the day they secured a spot in the World Cup.
