In Tashkent, 2 men strangled their acquaintance to death. This was reported in the Millar program here.
According to reports, the defendants were born in 1986 and 1981. The quarrel was caused by a debt between citizens. The defendant borrowed money from the victim and did not return it on time. Consequently, the defendant and his acquaintance devised a plan to kill the victim.
“I did not know the deceased at all. I only got involved because my colleague had a fight with him. The victim asked my partner, ‘You owe me 14,500 US dollars, give it to me today,’. Then my partner said, ‘Give me 2 days. I will return it as soon as I get money from one place’. Then they started arguing,” said one of the defendants.
It was found that after killing the victim, the citizens put the body in a Matiz car. The 1st defendant, wanting to hide his crime, joined the victim's family in searching for him, even though he knew where the deceased was. The 2nd defendant drove the deceased around in the car for several hours before dumping the body in a secluded place.
The case was reviewed by the Shaykhontohur district criminal court.
According to the court's verdict, the defendants were found guilty of committing the crime under the Criminal Code’s Article 97 part 2 clauses “v”, “i”, “p”, Article 168 part 4 clause “a”, Article 169 part 3 clause “a”, and Article 267 part 2 clause “b”. They were sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment.
