It is reported that the deputy head of the Dehqonobod district demanded a bribe of a total of 21 million sums in exchange for helping a local farmer meet his annual silk production target of 300 kg.
Out of this, 7 million sums were received in his office at the time he was caught with physical evidence.
In relation to this case, criminal proceedings were initiated against the said official under Article 168, part 3, paragraph "v" and Article 28,211 part 1 of the Criminal Code, and pretrial detention was applied as a measure of restraint.
Currently, investigative actions are being conducted.
