The Anti-Corruption Agency has identified cases of illegal activities by former leaders of the “Kogon Oil Extraction Plant” joint-stock company during a service audit conducted based on an application.

During 2021–2022, the JSC obtained a total of 30.5 billion UZS in loans through the Textile Business Center of the “Uzsanoatqurilishbank” JSCB for the purpose of replenishing working capital. For the credit security, buildings and structures on the company's balance, with a total area of 150,134 sq/m, were valued at 50 billion UZS and pledged.

According to the audit results, responsible individuals, having pre-agreed among themselves, introduced false and fraudulent information into official documents without the consent of the company's supervisory board during the process of obtaining the loan, and presented it to the bank.

Furthermore, due to the inefficient allocation of the acquired loan funds, a total material damage of approximately 19.6 billion UZS has been inflicted on the company and the banking system.

In connection with these cases, a criminal case has been initiated based on the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and preliminary investigation actions are currently being conducted. The Anti-Corruption Agency is legally examining the issue of liability for all individuals involved in the case.
