In the Gijduvan district of the Bukhara region, an individual cultivating 4 cannabis plants and 36 poppy plants, which are narcotic, was detained. The regional customs department reported this. 

As reported, the operation named “Blackdrug–2025” was conducted in cooperation with the Anti-Smuggling Department, the district’s Internal Affairs Department, and National Guard officers, during which the illegal cultivation of narcotic plants was uncovered.

Based on preliminary information, an inspection of a citizen's household in the Bulikayon neighborhood of Gijduvan district was carried out with the participation of independent witnesses. As a result, it was discovered that 4 cannabis plants and 36 poppy narcotic plants were being cultivated on the premises, and also, in the utility room, there was a quantity of dried poppy plants weighing 850 grams.

Concerning this case, the customs authorities have formalized the relevant documents and are conducting an investigation.
