Three minors drowned in a reservoir in the Parkent district of Tashkent region, and pre-investigation actions were carried out regarding the incident.
According to the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office, as reported, the inspection found that responsible organizations had not installed warning signs in a reservoir formed along the flow of the "Parkentsoy" canal, which has a depth of about 2 meters and dimensions of 20 by 40 m2, had not conducted explanatory work among the population, and had not taken measures to eliminate the artificially created reservoir.
Taking into account the necessity to check all circumstances that need to be proven, as well as to carry out a series of investigative actions, a criminal case has been initiated under articles 116 (Failure to adequately perform duties due to professional negligence) and 207 (Negligence in office) of the Criminal Code.
A legal conclusion will be reached after all necessary investigative actions have been carried out, the report states.
