The General Consulate calls upon all our fellow citizens not to be indifferent to the fate of their minor children, to pay special attention to their safety and legal protection.

According to the General Consulate of Uzbekistan in Istanbul, citizen T.O.'s mother came to Turkey in 2015 for work purposes and settled in the city of Istanbul. She met a citizen of Turkey, got married based on a religious marriage, and started living in his house.

Unfortunately, this "father" sexually assaulted our minor compatriot. Therefore, in 2017, T.O. was placed in a children's home in Istanbul.

In February of this year, T.O.'s sister was released from the children's home based on her legal appeal. However, T.O.'s sister was later imprisoned for use of force against the Turkish police, leaving the minor citizen unattended again.

The General Consulate, in collaboration with the "Yelkadosh" and "Uzbek Women's Rights Protection" societies, organized the return of this citizen to Uzbekistan and their handover to their legal representatives.
