“Dunyo“ news agency reports that due to the initiative of Turkmenistan's leadership in offering its territory for transit purposes, its active participation and significant contribution to international humanitarian aid, and the favorable conditions created at the country's border points, stations, and airports, which ensure the rapid and safe evacuation of citizens from many countries, are widely recognized by the international community.
In accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, operational headquarters that work around the clock have been established at our country's diplomatic missions in Tehran and Ashgabat. These rapid response teams are implementing comprehensive measures to return Uzbekistan citizens who are in Iran, via Turkmenistan, back to their homeland.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tehran is constantly in touch and coordinating efforts to ensure the safe movement of our citizens. Our embassy in Ashgabat, in collaboration with Turkmenistani officials, is efficiently organizing the process of receiving citizens at the border, solving visa and transportation issues, and repatriating them to their homeland.
So far, nearly 60 citizens of Uzbekistan have been repatriated from Iran through Turkmenistan.
It is important to note that no citizen of Uzbekistan will be left unattended, and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure their return to their homeland.
