The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in a telephone conversation held on June 29, sincerely congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on his birthday, wishing him robust health, family happiness and prosperity, and peace and flourishing for the fraternal Turkmenistan wished.
Our state leader particularly noted Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's personal contribution to the creation and consistent development of modern Turkmenistan, enhancing the country's international standing, and strengthening the relations of friendship, good neighbourliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people conveyed the greetings of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the President of Uzbekistan.
It is especially noted with satisfaction that in recent years, primarily due to the regular meetings of the leaders of our countries, bilateral cooperation has reached an unprecedented high level.
Close and productive relationships have been established between institutions, the volume of trade and cargo transportation is increasing. Important cooperation projects are being implemented, including the completion of the "Shovot - Tashauz" border trade zone. Active cultural-humanitarian exchanges are being conducted. The next meetings of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission and the Business Council, and the planning of the Regional Forum are underway.
The pressing aspects of regional cooperation, including the preparation for the seventh Consultative Meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian states to be held in September this year in Tashkent city, were also discussed.
