The Netherlands and Norway will start patrolling the airspace of Poland within the framework of NATO. This was announced by the Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans on X (formerly Twitter) social network.

According to him, this step serves to deter Russia and protect important supply routes for Ukraine.

Brekkelmans also stated that a new agreement on deepening military cooperation between the Netherlands and Poland has been signed, which entails an increase in joint exercises, strengthening air defense systems, and expanding defense industry contacts.

Norway, on the other hand, announced on June 30th that it will send F-35 fighter jets to Poland. According to the Norwegian Ministry of Defense, this contribution is part of the measures seen within the framework of NATO's integrated air and missile defense system.

The F-35s will play a vital role in ensuring security around the Jeshuv-Yasenka airport and in the airspace of Poland.
