The ministry has provided a detailed explanation regarding the reasons for this. According to it:

- 60% of Uzbekistan's territory consists of deserts, and being far from seas and forests results in limited sources of oxygen production and carbon dioxide absorption, making the region highly vulnerable to climate change. In such conditions, trees are as essential as air.

- Despite more favorable climate conditions in Germany, Britain, Russia, and Kazakhstan, the restrictions on tree cutting in Uzbekistan are several times stricter.

- No sapling can replace a mature tree—neither in terms of CO₂ absorption capacity, microclimate impact, nor biodiversity. A single tree absorbs 21 kg of CO₂ per year.

- Sustainable construction is not about destroying green spaces and compensating for them later but rather about preserving them from the outset.

Some construction representatives are employing "creative" approaches to bypass environmental legislation. For example, artificially drying trees...

In this regard, the Ministry of Ecology has called on law enforcement agencies to thoroughly investigate and scrutinize Murat Nazarov's approaches to tree cutting.
