On April 3, 2025, a girl named Jannat was married off to the city of Keles in the Tashkent region.
According to her mother, the girl was happy and had consented to the marriage. However, three days after the wedding, on April 6, her daughter's body was handed over to the family members.
In an interview given to the Millar program, the deceased's mother suspects that her daughter was strangled to death.
The mother-in-law, however, claimed that no one was home at the time of death and that the daughter-in-law had taken her own life. The mother insists that such a version does not correspond to the truth.
According to a representative of the Prosecutor General's Office, Hayot Shamsutdinov, the pre-investigation check did not identify any signs of a crime, and therefore a criminal case was not initiated. It is currently unknown whether a court-ordered medical examination has been conducted or not.
