President Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the household appliances factory under construction in the Zomin district of the Jizzakh region. The President's press service reported this.
Our country has great potential in this direction. The head of state has set the task of continuing this momentum, producing new products under national brands, and turning Uzbekistan into a regional "electrotechnical hub."
The factory in Zomin will be part of this effort.
The complex, established as a branch of the "Navoi" special industrial park, is located on 80 hectares. The total cost of the project is $150 million. Here, 1 million units of household appliances, such as washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, and electric water heaters, as well as spare parts, will be produced annually. The localization level for 100 types of products will reach 70%.
Importantly, the annual production volume will amount to $320 million. Of this, $140 million worth of products will be exported. Over 7,000 people will be employed.
Products prepared in the industrial park will be exported to more than 15 countries, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
To quickly adapt to the changing market demands, a molding workshop will also be established within the factory. Products will be delivered to customers consistently through a modern logistics center.
Additionally, plans are in place to produce plastic products for enterprises under "Avtosanoat" JSC within the industrial park.
