A video conference meeting dedicated to the development of the food and agriculture sector, particularly increasing export potential, was held under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The meeting noted that over the past three years, 250 thousand hectares of land have been allocated for food production, 160 thousand hectares of new orchards and vineyards have been created, and 1,500 projects worth $1 billion have been launched.
In addition, modern infrastructure for storage, drying, sorting, and packaging of products has been established.
The President emphasized that Uzbekistan's membership in the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) Council opens new opportunities for the country.
