U.S. President Donald Trump described the possibility of a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky as "good."
At a press conference, Trump indicated that this meeting "could take place very soon."
According to CNN sources, Putin recently expressed readiness to hold talks with Trump during a meeting with U.S. special envoy Steve Whitkoff. Preparations for the meeting have already begun in Washington.
White House press secretary Caroline Levitt stated that Trump is open to meeting with both Putin and Zelensky. "Trump wants this brutal war to end," she said.
The talks could take place within the next two weeks, but the location remains unknown. Trump also did not rule out the possibility of imposing secondary sanctions on Russia's trading partners.
