European mediators held talks with Ukraine before the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to agree on a common position.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Ukraine may agree to a ceasefire in the current frontline situation and temporarily cede territories under Russian control.
Under this plan, Kyiv demands guarantees for arms supplies and a path to NATO membership. At the same time, although Russia has fully annexed the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, it has failed to establish full control over parts of them.
Moscow, however, maintains an opposing stance—the Kremlin demands complete military neutrality from Ukraine and renunciation of NATO.
