On Wednesday, August 22, talks were held face-to-face and with the participation of delegations between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the "Avaza" national tourist zone of Turkmenistan.
The parties discussed issues of strengthening friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between the two states.
The importance of future high-level meetings, trade, economic and cultural cooperation, as well as contacts in the trilateral "Azerbaijan – Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan" format was emphasized.
In addition, views were exchanged on the agenda of the upcoming seventh Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian States.
