A citizen of Uzbekistan, who was engaged in preparing fake documents for migrants in Russia's Kamchatka Territory, has been deprived of liberty for 1 year and 2 months.

The Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky City Court announced the guilty verdict for the citizen of Uzbekistan in a criminal case regarding the organization of the illegal stay of migrants in Kamchatka. According to court data, he was sentenced under Part 1 and 2 of Article 322.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (Organization of the illegal stay of foreign citizens in Russia by a premeditated group) to deprivation of liberty for 1 year and 2 months to be served in a general regime penal colony. The sentence has not yet entered into force.

The Uzbek citizen was previously detained by the Russian Federal Security Service in Moscow and then sent to Kamchatka. He was arrested there.

The Uzbek citizen, together with his accomplice in Kamchatka, placed fake stamps and dates on passports indicating the crossing of the Russian state border, and also falsified migration cards. These documents allowed migrants to stay illegally in the country's territory for a longer period than permitted.

Blanks of documents intended for the legalization of foreign citizens were found in the apartment where the arrested person lived.

His accomplice had previously been convicted under Part 2 of Article 322.1 of the Russian Criminal Code. The city court sentenced him to 1 year of deprivation of liberty with subsequent deportation. The report did not specify of which country he is a citizen.
