According to Putin's emphasis, "if gas and electricity supplies are cut off, Kyiv will know its limits." He also sharply criticized the attacks by drones launched from Ukraine on the "Druzhba" oil pipeline.
In turn, Fico condemned Kyiv's actions and stated that he would raise the issue of the pipeline's security at a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on September 5th.
He emphasized Slovakia's interest in energy cooperation with Russia and pledged to vote against the European Commission's plan to completely abandon Russian fuel by 2027.
