Since the beginning of 2025, 535 prohibited items have been confiscated at Tashkent Airport. This was reported by the Aviation Security Service of "Uzbekistan Airports".
The confiscated items include cold weapons (knives, daggers, knuckledusters), firearms and their imitations, pyrotechnic devices (firecrackers, flares), gas and pepper spray canisters, stun guns and electronic shock devices, chemical substances, and multi-purpose devices (toy guns, keychain bullets, as well as drones).
"The majority of these items are considered a potential threat to the safety of passengers and crew. Even souvenir bullets and toy weapons can raise suspicion and cause flight delays or lead to incidents on board an aircraft.
Complying with the transportation rules, in turn, not only helps to pass through controls more easily but also plays an important role in ensuring flight safety. In this regard, passengers are advised to familiarize themselves in advance with the list of prohibited items," emphasized the Aviation Security Service of "Uzbekistan Airports".
