U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, articulated Washington's approach to the military operations in Gaza.

According to him, the Trump administration supports these attacks, but they should not be prolonged.

During the meeting on September 15, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio informed Netanyahu that the Trump administration supports Israel's ground military operation. According to the "Axios" publication, the U.S. is in favor of a swift attack.

One of the American officials present with Rubio stated: "This is not Trump's war, this is Netanyahu's war. He will be responsible for all consequences."

The Israeli army has intensified its attacks in Gaza in recent weeks. Tanks have been sent into the city, and the population has been called to relocate south. According to reports, nearly 300,000 out of 1 million residents have left Gaza.

The Israeli army delivered 37 strikes in just 20 minutes, some of which were carried out by combat helicopters. Palestinian officials reported to Al Jazeera about heavy air attacks in Gaza.

It is worth noting that Rubio traveled to Israel after the strike on the Hamas headquarters in Qatar and had expressed that the White House was displeased with that attack.
