On the night of September 20 and the morning of September 21, Russian forces launched a massive combined armed strike on Ukrainian territory. According to Ukrainian officials, one of the missiles hit a multi-story building in Dnipro, killing one person. So far, reports have been received about three people killed.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia attacked Ukraine with 579 attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the "Shahed" type and various kinds of drone simulators, as well as 8 "Iskander-M/KN-23" ballistic missiles and 32 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
The air defense systems successfully shot down 552 drones, 2 "Iskander" ballistic missiles, and 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles.
"Strikes by ballistic and cruise missiles and 23 attack UAVs were recorded in 10 locations, and the crash sites (debris) of the downed aircraft were recorded in 10 locations," stated the Air Force's daily report.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, nine regions of Ukraine were targeted by Russian air attacks: Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv.
