An Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad late on April 10 to participate in talks with the United States. This was reported by Al Jazeera, citing the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to preliminary information, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf visited the capital of Pakistan.
It is reported that Pakistan's Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Shah, emphasized that the talks did not go smoothly, describing this process as a result of the parties' long-standing diplomatic efforts.
The parties had previously stated different positions: the US proposed easing sanctions and opening the Strait of Hormuz, while Iran demands maintaining control over the strait and completely ceasing military operations in the region.
At the same time, on the eve of the talks, both sides are accusing each other of violating preliminary agreements.
