A court verdict was read against a man who killed his wife and mother-in-law in the Altiariq district of the Fergana region. This was reported by Aziz Abidov, head of the information service of the Supreme Court.
According to the report, after her first marriage did not work out, the woman entered into a family union based on a Sharia marriage in July 2024 and lived with her husband for 4 months. In November of the same year, she returned to her father's house with her child due to a quarrel. At that time, the woman was pregnant.
On the day the murder was committed, she went to the rented house where she had lived with her husband, accompanied by her mother and underage child, to collect her belongings. At that time, the man inflicted serious bodily injuries with a knife on his mother-in-law and wife and fled the scene.
Furthermore, it was established that the perpetrator of the murder tore into pieces his wife's biometric passport for traveling abroad, the birth certificate of her daughter from her first marriage, and other documents.
By the court verdict, based on the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, the accused was sentenced to 15 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
