According to the man, because he had divorced his wife, they did not let him speak with his daughter. They cut off her hair because she secretly spoke with her father on the phone. According to the father's statement, the mother-in-law gave the granddaughter away under pressure.
According to the clarification by the Children's Ombudsman, this case is related to a 15-year-old girl living in Denov District, Surxondaryo Region.
It is noted that in July 2025, an investigation was conducted by the local neighborhood council and social workers regarding the attempt to marry the girl off, and it was emphasized that giving a minor in marriage is against legal documents, and the family was given a warning.
Despite this, it became known that a wedding ceremony was held on August 10, 2025. Regarding this case, a measure of administrative liability was applied by the local prevention inspector in accordance with the legislation, and a fine was imposed on the guilty parties.
She is currently studying at a vocational school in Denov District, and her rights and educational process are under constant supervision by responsible persons.
