If the charges against former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani are proven, he could face the death penalty. This was reported by Zamon.uz.

According to the MP's words, Rouhani caused significant damage to the country.

"An example of this is the nuclear deal. It only led to losses. Yet Rouhani was proud of it," he says.

Ghazanfar emphasized that the previous parliament submitted eight complaints against Rouhani, all of which were sent to court. He blamed the head of the judiciary, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, for not taking any action, despite the fact that such cases must be processed promptly according to legal requirements.

"Has Rouhani been tried? Has he been punished? If so, explain. If not, say why he hasn't been tried and punished," said the MP.

He also spoke about another case sent to court by the government of the late President Ebrahim Raisi. According to him, Rouhani was also accused in the disappearance of a valuable carpet from the Sa'dabad my.uzbmb.uz.
