"We have been friends with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for many years. He has earned great respect in his own country, in Europe, and in the world. Erdoğan built a powerful army, it is an honor for us to receive him at the White House," says the US leader.
He also emphasized that they will carry out many tasks with Turkey and noted the significant progress in relations between the two countries.
"President Erdoğan is respected by both Putin and Zelenskyy. Everyone respects him, and I respect him too. Erdoğan is the person responsible for the success in overthrowing the former leader of Syria," added Donald Trump.
