Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the UN General Assembly on Friday evoked a storm of emotions, from boos to applause. Before he began his speech, dozens of officials and diplomats left the room in protest.

Netanyahu began his speech by listing the members of what he called the "axis of resistance" against Iran, which he said had suffered serious damage over the past year - since his last speech at the General Assembly.

"This axis threatens world peace, the stability of our region, and the very existence of my country, Israel," Netanyahu said.

He described how over the past year Israel had struck the Houthis in Yemen, destroyed the "main part of Hamas's terror machine," and inflicted serious damage on Hezbollah in Lebanon.

"But most importantly, we destroyed Iran's nuclear weapons and ballistic missile programs," the Israeli Prime Minister added.
