In two provinces, thieves of electricity and gas worth 400 million soums were caught.

Criminal cases have been initiated regarding thefts committed in the Namangan and Tashkent regions.

It was revealed that one of the bakeries in Namangan illegally connected to the network on its own and unlawfully used natural gas worth 299.6 million soums.

This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

Another similar case was also identified during an investigation, prior to an inquiry conducted by the staff of the Department's Ohangaron district division.

According to it, it was found that the head of the "M.O." farm, M.B., for commercial purposes, independently and directly connected a water pump to the electrical grid and illegally used electricity worth 109.8 million soums.

It is reported that criminal cases have now been initiated regarding these incidents under Article 169 (Theft) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions have been launched.
