On Saturday night, Russian forces launched a large-scale missile and drone strike on Ukraine. The Ukrainian military reported that the main target of the attack was Kyiv. According to official data, four people were killed and 14 injured in the city, with a five-story residential building partially collapsing. In the Kyiv region, at least 30 people were wounded. In Zaporizhzhia, a missile hit near a nine-story building. The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that the strike targeted facilities of the military-industrial complex and military airfield infrastructure.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that this morning Russia attacked Ukraine with 643 aerial targets: 593 various types of drones, two Bandera-type jet drones, two Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 38 Kh-101 cruise missiles, and eight Kalibr cruise missiles. 661 targets were shot down.

The main focus of the attack was directed at Kyiv, Ukrainian military officials emphasized. Officials and rescuers reported that four people were killed in the Ukrainian capital.

Kyiv's Solomianskyi district suffered the most damage, where debris from an intercepted attack fell onto a five-story residential building. Part of the building's entrance collapsed; rescuers retrieved the body of a 12-year-old girl from the rubble.

The child was crushed by a concrete slab, said Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko. The strike also caused serious damage to the building of the Cardiology Institute. A nurse and a patient were killed there, the minister said. "Another person was found dead at the site of the strike on civilian infrastructure," Klymenko added.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, another 14 people were injured. According to the head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnik, 30 people in the Kyiv region sought medical attention.

There is no information about casualties in the Kyiv region, but it was precisely there that the most significant damage to residential buildings was recorded.

"Four people, including one child, are in the hospital. The condition of the injured is of moderate severity," Kalashnik's publication reported. "The largest number of injured - 19 people - are in Petropavlovska Borshchahivka."

Petropavlivska Borshchahivka is a village in the Bucha district. According to officials, six multi-story buildings were damaged there. Damage was also recorded in four other districts of the Kyiv region: Fastiv, Boryspil, Obukhiv, and Bilotserkivska.

Damage was recorded in seven districts of Kyiv, said the head of the city's military administration, Timur Tkachenko. "Recently, a month ago, Kyiv experienced a major attack, missiles hit residential buildings directly," he wrote on Telegram. "Today Russia is once again targeting the residents of Kyiv, our residential buildings." "A kindergarten was damaged. The Cardiology Institute was damaged," Tkachenko said. Cars parked in the courtyards of Kyiv also caught fire during the night.

On August 28, during a massive attack on Kyiv, a missile hit a five-story building, one of the entrances collapsed, and 22 people were killed.
