On October 5, during a telephone conversation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on his birthday and wished him strong health and happiness, as well as prosperity and sustainable progress to the fraternal people of Tajikistan.
The head of our state noted the role of the President of Tajikistan in strengthening the country's independence, ensuring stable development, and enhancing its international prestige, and particularly emphasized his personal contribution to strengthening the relations of friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Within the framework of implementing high-level agreements, urgent issues of further expanding multifaceted partnership were considered.
Special attention was paid to continuing joint work on forming a new agenda for practical cooperation covering priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport, energy, agriculture, tourism, and cultural-humanitarian exchanges.
The schedule and agenda of upcoming high-level bilateral and multilateral events planned to be held in our countries were also discussed.
