Ismail Jurabekov, Advisor to the Minister of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who served faithfully for many years on the path of the nation's development, passed away on September 28 at the age of 94.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the house of mourning today and recalled the virtuous activities of the deceased, who served the Homeland with loyalty. The Qur'an was recited, and the soul of the deceased was honored.
Throughout his career, Ismail Jurabekov made a significant contribution to the development of the water management system in Uzbekistan. He held high positions, including First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Uzbekistan in 1985, later First Deputy Prime Minister, and State Advisor to the President.
Jurabekov, who did not remain inactive in recent years either, continued to contribute his share to the reforms of New Uzbekistan. He was awarded the honorary title of "Honored Irrigation Specialist of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and other state awards.
The President expressed his condolences to the family members and close ones of the deceased, wishing them patience and fortitude, and accepted their words of gratitude.
