664.6 thousand live births were registered in Uzbekistan for the January-September period of 2025.
According to data from the State Statistics Committee, 343.6 thousand of them were boys, and 321 thousand were girls. This means that boys accounted for 51.7 percent of all births.
Forty-eight percent of the births were registered in urban areas, and 52 percent were registered in rural areas. During this period, the birth rate was 23.5 per thousand people.
Experts emphasize that this indicator demonstrates the stability of the natural growth rates in the country.
