Bekmurod Tojimirzayevich Abdullayev, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Head of the Public Security Department, has been relieved of his post. A corresponding decision on this matter was adopted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Bekmurod Abdullayev had been working in this position since April 2021.
Prior to that, he served as the First Deputy Commander of the National Guard for Public Security.
Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov did not provide information on the reasons for the decision.
