Palestinian farmers, activists, and journalists harvesting olives in the occupied West Bank were beaten by Jewish settlers. Reuters reported on this, relying on witnesses and images from the scene.

The incident occurred on October 8 in the village of Beita, near Nablus. According to witnesses, approximately 50 masked settlers, armed with sticks and stones, ruthlessly beat Reuters photographer Raneen Sawafta and her companions who were among those harvesting the crop.

After learning of the incident, the Israeli army stated that soldiers had been dispatched, but witnesses emphasized that there were no military personnel present at the scene during the attack.

Such attacks are repeated almost every year in the West Bank, especially during the olive harvest season.
