During rapid operations conducted in the Syrdarya and Namangan regions in cooperation with the State Security Service and internal affairs agencies, the activities of groups preparing and selling narcotic substances were halted.
During a rapid operation in Syrdarya region, employees of the SSS and the Ministry of Internal Affairs identified a drug laboratory operating in the city of Gulistan. It was found that three citizens born in 1995-1996 were preparing the synthetic substance "Mephedrone" and selling it via "dead drops".
During the investigation, 4 kg 373 grams of "Mephedrone", an electronic scale, a mixer, a gas mask, and packaging tools were seized as material evidence. According to investigation data, they used raw materials sent from abroad. A criminal case has now been initiated against these individuals under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code.
Furthermore, during a joint operation of the SSS, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Customs Committee, and the Border Troops in Namangan region, a citizen living in Uchkorgon district was detained with 9 kg 702 grams of "hashish". He was stopped while illegally entering the country's territory from the Kyrgyz Republic. A criminal case has now been initiated against him under Articles 223 and 246 of the Criminal Code.
In another case, a citizen born in 1990 was apprehended in Namangan city while receiving potent medicines and counterfeit products that had entered via smuggling, with a total value exceeding 3.2 billion soums.
As a result of the rapid operation, five more individuals were identified in the Namangan and Kosonsoy districts — they were involved in selling potent medicines in the Fergana Valley and Tashkent. Criminal cases have been initiated for all instances, and investigative actions are ongoing.
