According to the Ministry, the deficiencies identified during technical inspections do not mean the elevators are "faulty," but rather, this is part of the preventive control process.

Currently, there are a total of 9,144 elevators in 3,245 apartment buildings in the capital. Among them, the service life of 1,835 elevators has expired, and they will be gradually replaced between 2025 and 2028. This year, 452 elevators have already been replaced.

The Ministry additionally emphasized that all elevators must undergo mandatory annual technical inspections and that any identified deficiencies must be promptly addressed.
