On the evening of November 19, a meeting with a delegation led by Eric Adams, the Mayor of New York City, USA, took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by the Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber, Umid Safarov, leading entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan, and representatives of a number of business associations.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further deepening mutual trade and economic cooperation, developing joint cooperation projects, and expanding business ties between the two regions.
During the meeting, Umid Safarov proposed establishing cooperation with the New York Stock Exchange to prepare Uzbek entrepreneurs for US capital markets, creating a business school and acceleration programs with leading US universities in the country, as well as opening a joint vocational college in Tashkent.
Kamolat Mirzaaliyeva, the Chairperson of the Small Business Association, requested assistance in establishing cooperation with the New York Small Business Alliance and in exporting local products to the US market.
Entrepreneurs presented proposals on expanding the delivery of agricultural products to the American market, producing biochemical products, and developing innovative projects.
"The meeting was held in a constructive spirit and is expected to bring bilateral business cooperation to a new level," the report says.
