During a meeting with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, U.S. President Donald Trump proposed increasing the amount of investments to be introduced into the country's economy to $1.5 trillion. According to Trump, this proposal was made during their joint photo session.
The head of state said that the Crown Prince did not immediately confirm the proposal but indicated that there were aspects that "needed to be considered." Nevertheless, Trump emphasized that the U.S. hopes to "get something" as a result of these negotiations.
Earlier, Trump had said that bin Salman agreed to invest $600 billion in the U.S., and that this amount could reach up to $1 trillion.
It was also noted that the U.S. is working on a license for the supply of a new generation of microchips to Saudi Arabia.
