According to Axios, Zelenskyy and a U.S. Army representative, D. Driscoll, discussed a draft of the new peace plan during a meeting in Kyiv on November 20.
It was previously reported that Zelenskyy was not ready to discuss the plan because Ukraine had not yet been involved in its development and it had been negotiated with Russia. For this reason, a meeting planned to discuss the plan in Turkey was canceled.
According to Axios, in the meeting with Driscoll, Zelenskyy took a conciliatory position and expressed his readiness to work together to implement the plan.
The plan includes clauses on Kyiv handing over Donbas to Russia, reducing the number of military personnel, renouncing long-range weapons, and selecting Russian as an official language. In exchange, the U.S. has promised to provide security guarantees.
