According to the Central Bank, $15.8 billion in remittances were received from labor migrants abroad in January–October 2025. 53 percent of the receipts are small remittances of up to one thousand dollars.
According to analysts, 78 percent of the cash flows came from Russia, and the remainder came from Kazakhstan, the USA, South Korea, Turkey, Great Britain, and EU countries. This 10-month indicator for the current year is also higher than the full-year figures for 2023 and 2024.
According to the results of a survey conducted by the Central Bank among 24 thousand cash recipients, the funds sent by migrants are spent as follows:
— 58% — daily expenses,
— 18% — loan payments,
— 12% — savings,
— 12% — real estate purchases,
— 2% — business and other needs.
