In November, the State Security Service of Uzbekistan located and repatriated a citizen who had been wanted for over 25 years for his connection with international terrorist organizations.

According to information, he left Uzbekistan in 1999 and participated in militant activities in the ranks of various terrorist groups in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria.

The individual was captured in one of the CIS countries, where he was living under a different name using forged documents.

Criminal cases have been initiated against him under several articles, including terrorism, mercenarism, and encroachment on the constitutional order. Investigative actions are ongoing.
