According to new data from the Central Bank, for December 2, the US dollar became cheaper by 45.38 soums at the set official rate, amounting to 11,895.57 soums.
The value of the Euro increased by 11.73 soums, reaching 13,826.22 soums. The Russian ruble also rose by 0.30 soums, becoming 152.98 soums.
Thus, the dollar exchange rate transitioned to a decline after two consecutive days of growth — on November 30, it had risen to 11,940.95 soums.
According to Central Bank statistics, in the January–October period of 2025, the exchange rate of the soum against foreign currencies strengthened by 7 percent. During this period, the demand for currency increased by 24 percent, while the supply increased by 26 percent.
Over the past 10 months, the population sold 17.4 billion dollars to commercial banks — this is almost 1.3 times more than in the corresponding period last year.
