President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Syrdarya region on December 4. The first destination of the trip was the "River Med Pharm" enterprise in the Syrdarya district here.
This enterprise is considered one of the leaders in the production of infusion medicines in our country. Today, 20 percent of the infusion solutions produced in Uzbekistan come directly from this enterprise.
Such medicines are considered one of the most important medical products for a patient's life. Their production is much more complex than producing simple tablets. This is because these types of solutions are administered directly into blood vessels. Therefore, they must be produced under absolutely sterile conditions, with high precision and in full compliance with international standards.
The total cost of the project is over 30 million dollars, and currently 750 people are provided with permanent jobs at the enterprise. The enterprise produces 70 types of medicines worth 135 billion soums per year, totaling 114 million units. The fact that 20 percent of the products are exported demonstrates the enterprise's international competitiveness.
In November, the second phase of the project was launched, further expanding production capacities. The enterprise produces 30 million infusion solutions, over 70 million dry antibiotics, and nearly 20 million eye and nose drops.
The head of state was informed about the enterprise's products and future plans.
In the future, the types of products manufactured at the enterprise will be increased to 200. At this stage, the production of solutions for injection in glass and plastic containers, as well as tablets and capsules, will be launched. The number of jobs will be increased to one thousand.
The President held a meeting with activists and youth of the region here.
An open conversation took place on important issues related to the economy, industry, agriculture, youth education, and the future of the region. The head of our state emphasized that the initiative of the people is a decisive factor in increasing the effectiveness of reforms.
"Changes must first be felt in the mahallas. You must be in constant contact with people and guide the youth correctly. If we are all vigilant and active, our actions, the reforms we are carrying out will certainly yield results. We came to Syrdarya with big plans. We will listen to you and implement these plans together," said the President.
