According to U.S. National Security Advisor K.T. McFarland, the United States will increase the number of countries subject to travel and immigration restrictions to over 30. In an interview with Fox News, the advisor did not specify an exact number but noted that President Donald Trump is continuing to evaluate countries, and that the restrictions apply equally to both immigrants and non-immigrants.

McFarland did not clarify which countries would be added to the new list, but mentioned as the primary reason countries with low government stability that cannot ensure their own security.

Recall that in June, Trump signed an order completely banning entry to the U.S. for citizens of 12 countries and establishing restrictions for another 7 countries. These measures were explained as protection against "foreign terrorists" and other security threats.

In recent weeks, following the shooting death of two National Guard members near the White House, the Trump administration began to further tighten immigration rules. Subsequently, the president announced he would halt immigration from some "third world countries," and the processing of immigration applications from citizens of 19 countries was temporarily suspended.
