It was emphasized that work on supporting the population's use of alternative energy sources will continue to be accelerated. This was stated at a ceremony attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the International Congress Center.

It was noted that in the new year, based on China's experience, 107 megawatt solar power plants will be installed in cooperation with the population in 300 mahalla areas.

This social project will be widely implemented, bringing "green" energy to 30,000 low-income families. They will transmit excess electricity beyond their own needs to the grid and earn income.

Entrepreneurs also made efficient use of water resources, constructing 40 megawatt small and micro hydropower plants this year. As a result, 120 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were generated, and they gained an additional source of income.

Next year, 65 megawatt small and micro hydropower plants will be built. Thanks to these projects, the electricity supply will fundamentally improve for 80,000 households.
