Tashkent metro stations will close ticket offices.

Hush, now how do citizens pay for the metro?

Starting from December 9, ticket offices at all 14 stations on the "Yerusti Halqa Yuli" (Chilanzar) line, as well as at the "Pakhtakor" and "Alisher Navoiy" stations, will be closed in the Tashkent metro. This was reported by the metro's press service.

It is noted that the indicators for cash payments at these stations are low. Instead of ticket offices, new modern QR-code ticket vending machines—infokiosks—have been launched at these stations.

The metro emphasized that purchasing tickets through infokiosks will speed up the process and reduce queues. It also reminded that tickets based on QR codes can be used in the form of a mobile phone or a printed receipt.
