According to the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), funds have been provided in the form of grants to the 11 states and the capital district where championship matches will be held. These funds are aimed at developing capabilities to detect, identify, monitor, and counter drones.

According to an agency representative, in recent years, criminal groups, terrorists, and hostile foreign actors have been increasingly using unmanned aerial vehicles. Therefore, prompt decisions have been made to ensure security during the World Cup.

For information, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. For the first time in the tournament's history, 48 national teams will participate.
