On January 14, Venezuela's interim leader Delcy Rodriguez held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump. According to Rodriguez, the conversation was long, productive, and took place in a friendly spirit.

According to her words, the parties, in an atmosphere of mutual respect, discussed the agenda of cooperation between the two countries and unresolved issues. Donald Trump also emphasized that this was the first conversation held since Rodriguez's appointment, calling her an "amazing person."

The US leader also evaluated this call on his Truth Social page as a "very good telephone conversation," noting that issues such as oil, minerals, trade, and national security were discussed. He stressed that the US intends to help Venezuela's stabilization and recovery.

We recall that on January 3, the US conducted a special operation in Venezuela, capturing the country's leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife. On January 4, Delcy Rodriguez was appointed as Venezuela's interim leader.
